Oh !

It has become a routine practice for me to countcheck the number of cards (read plastic cards)that i get to carry everyday.Over the past few years i have collected more than 40+ cards..Right from the office ID ,professional membership ID/library, school ID/drivers licence, credit/debit cards, medical insurance cards, metro/car insurance card, apartment access card, garage swipe cards to the supermarket/shopper's card /laundry /phone card to club membership/restaurant cards ,the size and weight of my wallet is ever increasing!!!. There is always an option to carry only the necessary cards, but you never knew when you would need the other ones. An undisputable fact is that you are identified by the card that you carry-Card values than the face value ! And if anyone of them is lost, its a pain calling the agencies to issue a new one ! Am i right ?

I have couple of questions now ....

1.How comfortable are you carrying lot many cards with you everyday ?
2.Can the utilities of all these cards be clubbed to one single card? Hope we expect this to happen in few years from now !

Any solutions/suggestions are always invited !

It is a pain to carry so many cards I agree. These cards have come to be here. Probably in future some personal chip and pin may come which could be embedded in our palm or so... and swipe it for everything.

Half of it is already being implemented here

we have id card with a chip - that contains info on ur citizenship add numbers and all

also its been made to double as a driving license and bank card - and lots more in the future

unfortunately besides beind an id its not being used for anything else - even cops wont recognise it as a drivers license - so much for technology

but its a bit scary that so many info is in one card - this card can be read by anyone now as its redeable on our local cable companies disk - so imagine losing the card n someone nowing ur fiancial numbers n all or some hacked hacking into the system

not an interesting option if u ask me
