I always think why few people here face difficulty in reading Indian names. Today at work, i was discussing a research paper with my colleague. The authors of that paper were Saraswathy Ramamoorthy & Judith Myers. I just asked my colleague if she could read the name of the authors.
Uh,as expected she fumbled a bit(lot !!) to pronounce the first author's name correctly. And she quipped-"THY" -is seen in both the first/last names..LOL :-)
Its no wonder we get to read jokes like Anotherman Superman !!
Btw,Did you know that i introduce myself as Pablo to not so important people ?!

Rare names can be embarassing even if short. Being brought up in Delhi, my name is unknown to North Indians and as a student I always used to feel embarassed when being introduced to a new teacher.
Names should be simple and short.
