This happened few days back ::After roaming the city the whole day with my friends,we decided to stop at an Indian Restaurant for dinner located b/w 6/7 Avenues in NYC. We looked very tired. Just as we entered, we overheard the manager say "aadmilog dekhke patha chalega woh kya khayega"..Totally unwarranted comment..Did he estimate that Madarasis doesnt know Hindi ? Just walked out after a duel with him..When will people learn to respect fellow country men ?

PS: I haven't stepped into any Desi restaurant since past 6 months. American/Oriental foods tastes better than our people's attitude !!

RECORD SNOW FALL IN NYC!

(AP) NEW YORK :Feb 12,2006 : A record storm blanketed the city in more than 2 feet of snow on Sunday, stranding tens of thousands of air travelers and sending sanitation workers into overdrive to try to get the streets passable by Monday.

By 1 p.m., the National Weather Service reported that 26.9 inches of snow had fallen in Central Park, the highest tally since records started being kept in 1869. The record was 26.4 inches in December 1947. The snow is measured by the official Central Park measurer for the National Weather Service.

Today morning,I received an automated 1-800 number call from citibank ,notifying me of suspicious credit card activity .Since that was an automated message, i was skeptical to key in my security code and other details, and hence got my call transferred to the customer care center. I got to speak with a lady but still, i was hesitant to give my credit card security details. Lot many thoughts ran in me like credit card frauds,like Chakra's and Sundar's experiences, (Blogs does play a role !) and i decided not to give any details, but took her advice to call the number at the back of my card.

I called up the customer care and enquired about automated message that i received.I was asked about few transactions to my card the previous day .Yeah, i made about 5 heavy purchases within an hour at various locations. The confirmed details were credited to my account (Faithfully me!). I appreciate the Citibank's notification and was much relieved as i got the information clarified !!

As ever, this man gets away with a SORRY !

Is this the freedom of expression ? Why is this man doing it again and again ? Is he not aware of the ongoing religious related tensions in the Middle east /Europe ? Is there anyone to issue a fatwa against him ? And where is the uproar in India by the "minority faith" with this regard ?
